Dear Zelia,
Yesterday J.L. showed me the letter which you wrote to him. Write to ME in the future, as mail always come through to ME quicker. Whatever letters I now write are for the family at home, but as I now know that A.V. is in England I shall have to drop him a card. Another card follows. My love to all.

Dear Zelia,
Remember in future when you write that though we may long for something, its never too safe to allow our optimism to run away with us. I am glad to hear that everyone at home are well & in particular Papa & the children; even though I must confess ignorance of the names of the newer & more recent arrivals. I feel such a stranger.
